The Deaf CAN!
God says the Deaf CAN!
The Deaf can know God’s Word.
The Deaf can become Disciple Makers, Teachers, Evangelists, Deaconesses, and Pastors!

Over the last 25 years, we have developed the ABCD materials for training Deaf people in the U.S. and other countries.

We decided to use the ABCD acronym in two ways:

First, the name ABCD: A Bible Curriculum Deaf.

Second, the class outline, beginning with A:
A is Access – Questions and BLAST – know God and His love for you
B is Bible – 20+classes grow deeper in God’s Word
C is Commentary – deeper explanation for God’s Word
D is Doctrine – Doctrine study of teachings in God’s Word

Our goal is to produce and adapt materials for Deaf people to learn and teach!  We continue to develop materials as we train our deaf leaders so they can teach the classes themselves.  We do this by building on Stories – Build on the Rock – Matthew 7:24-27.  We begin with learning and sharing the stories in the Bible.

Many of the core materials we have developed as we have worked with Deaf people in the United States and around the world.  The new materials we are adding are a partnership with Northwestern Publishing house and other groups, and they include advanced materials for our Deaf leaders to use in preparing and teaching classes.
