Rev. Dr. Reinke has done it again. He a crazy man for the deaf and for spreading the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are once again in Ghana for 15 days Signing the Gospel to 2 different deaf groups. We have our 9 Ghanaian deaf and 8 deaf from Liberia on a 3 and half day trip to get here. We have an assortment of hearing people too. We have Osufo Daniel Kofi President of the ELCG (Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ghana). We have cooks and cleaners helping us. There are some seminary staff around for the Summer. It is hot and muggy! The smells are a bit different here in Ghana, a mixture of big city cars and buses with animals and marketplaces along a street. Everyone is on the hustle here.
They say the lion and warthog are both up in the morning. The warthog looking to get something to eat and stay alive. The lion looking to eat the warthog and stay alive as well. So you better be up running in the morning, around here, to catch a lunch or be someone’s lunch! As usual money is always an issue. We spend money to get here and then we support deaf with materials food and housing all for the Gospel’s sake. We, truly, thank the people who gave, have given, and continue to give us the money to come here for the Lord’s work. We are training leaders to take over the work in Ghana, Liberia, and the world. We need printed materials, Bibles, technology to do videos and get the Gospel to deaf eyes. Happy new year everyone! Will write soon!
