Jesus Signs Workshop in St Louis

How are we going to train more workers?  How can we equip more people to join in the outreach to Deaf people and their families?   We are expanding out training of people with a heart for Deaf Outreach.
We will be leading  a Jesus Signs Workshop June 4-7, 2015 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood, Missouri.  We are joining with people in the St. Louis area to in reaching out to equip people to share Jesus with Deaf people.
It is estimated that 90% of Deaf children are born to hearing parents.  These parents may be faithful Christians; but, do not know how to share their faith with their Deaf  child.  We want to equip these parents and their congregations to share Jesus with their Deaf child using Luther’s Small Catechism for the Deaf and other resources.
Deaf people are scattered and live in every area of the country, in every city, and near congregations of The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod.  We want to train members of our local congregations to reach out to the Deaf in their area with the Gospel.
This is just one of the Jesus Signs Workshops to be held around the country as we continue to reach out and train workers in Deaf Outreach.  WHY?  Because 98% of Deaf people do not attend any church.  We do not want them to go to hell.
The harvest is ripe and the workers are few, pray for the Lord of the harvest to send more workers.  Please pray for God to guide people who want to share in His mission to join with us.  If you are interested, or know of someone who might be interested,  please sign up and we will send you more information as it become available – send email to LutheranDeafOutreach@gmail.com and check out the web page at www.LutheranDeafOutreach.org.

ABCD – A Bible Curriculum Deaf is growing!
This week another Pastor shared with me he is using the ABCD materials to teach and train Deaf people in his area.
Thank you!!  Your support is helping us continue to adapt and prepare these resources.  We know of more than 25 groups using these materials each week.
As we reach out nationally and Internationally we pray God will use this materials to reach 100’s?  1000’s?  10,000’s? More!!  Please Lord help your people!!

On Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 we lost a beautiful woman and heaven gained this lovely caring saint. A celebration of her life in Christ was held on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Onalaska. She was a loving wife (of Bruce J. Kerr) and mother of a son (Karl J. J. Kerr).
Lisa was Chairman of the Board of Directors for World Lutheran Deaf Outreach and worked tirelessly to improve the organization and help in every aspect of his conception and growth. Lisa and Bruce were instrumental in establishing Deaf Ministry in the LaCrosse/Onalaksa, WIsocnsin  area for many years. Lisa was blessed with many gifts from her Lord, the most important was her deep and loving caring nature for others. She was never too busy to listen to someone and would always let people know of the deep love that Jesus had for them. If you were blessed to be in her presence when she led a group in prayer, you were immediately uplifted and encouraged. She prayed with her very heart and soul.
So much can be said of Lisa. She will be deeply missed by her family and all her many friends but we rejoice that she has finally achieved her lifelong goal of being in the presence of her Lord and Savior. It is easy for us to say:

Well done, good and faithful servant!
