This past summer brought opportunities to make contacts with leaders from across the U.S. and around the world. While Rev. Reinke took classes at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis he was able to work with Pastors from different areas of the U.S., sharing about Deaf Ministry, and helping with deaf people in their areas. He also met with International leaders from Liberia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Brazil, and other areas. He shared what we are doing with leadership training in Deaf Ministry, asked what they can do in their areas, and worked on ideas to share resources.
Over the last two months we have continued contact with many of these leaders and are exploring ways we can share materials and resources. We are also finding ways to encourage their leadership training. Many areas of the U.S. (and other countries) do not have trained Deaf leaders, we want that to change!
